I installed the binary and Xfree dist yesterday.  A total of about
70megs.  It took over 3 hours.  I think that was with 1:3 compression. 
I now want to recompile the kernel and don't have the source.  I decided
to get the cd-rom from walnut creek.  If you have a cd-rom get the
disk!!  It is much easier.  It also took me several attempts to connect
to the ftp site.
