If you're using the configured server from the packages distribution, it
should run with no trouble in a generic mode. Out of the box, Apache
tries to keep between 5 and 10 unused copies of httpd in memory ready to
take requests, up to a default maximum of 150. This is satisfactory for
ordinary usage.

If you want to change these numbers, you'll have to get the full
distribution from http://www.apache.org/ (it's free), edit the
Configuration file and set httpd.h to the correct path to your .html
files, so Apache can find its working files.
