The only advantage of Solaris I've ever seen is that it runs on all
those sexy multiprocessor SparcServers.....as for running it on Intel
boxen, I have a friend who swears by it but there seem to be plenty of
people who swear at it too.

IMHO, if you prefer (like me) to live in a BSD world and FreeBSD works
for you then stick with it, unless there is some real need to run
Solaris-only s/w on your PC.  Or, buy another disk and install them
both (this may be the best solution).

Maybe someone on the Solaris group can offer the other POV on this?
