When I boot 2.1.5 from the boot disk pulled off the ftp server I get a
message from the vx driver warning me that the adapter is an early
defective revision. Can any body explain to me what this means. Does
it mean that the hardware is defective or it it because the driver is a
Beta.

If the hardware is defective what information is available about the
problem so I can go back to my hardware vendor and/of 3COM to get fixed
hardware.

I'm not too confident of my news feed so if you could reply by mail I
would appreciate it.
