When I bootup BSD, I get an error message

starting routing daemons: routedrouted: router/udp: unknown service
starting network daemons: protmap syslogd: syslogd/udp: unknow service
inetd

why is it not finding udp, or is that not my problem. Wehn I type
routed from my prompt, I get the error message

routed: router/udp: unknown service

I run BSD on my pc at home, and use a dialup ppp service provided through
my school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou
