I ask how to increase the useable size for several parts of memory to
compile a program.

Thanks to all who answered my questions.

Last week I had the time to try it and was successfull.

You helped to get "daVinci" (a graph editor) compiled for "NetBSD", for
details visit there home page

I hope to upload it this week, but I am very busy planing a trip in the
mountains :-).

BTW. the reason was the limits from the shell (stack and/or data), but it
takes nearly all of my 32 Mbyte swap-partition to compile it.
