I found qpop-2.1.4.3 in packages-current, although I'm using it with 
FreeBSD 2.1R. I'm having no trouble with it.

I can't tell you offhand whether or not it requires libc.so.3.0 in place 
of 2.2, but I have a symlink in place for other packages as well, and the 
popper is working fine.
