     No.  The EIDE system will just run a bit slower than a similar
SCSI-based system (but *ONLY* when doing IDE I/O -- the performance
should be the same otherwise).  However, if you plan on eventually
having (say) 3 or more hard disks, the SCSI-based system will run rings
around the EIDE one (but most people won't be having this many disks on
their system).

     However, EIDE CDROMs could be a problem.  Not all "EIDE" CDROMs
handle "EIDE" in the same way.  If you get an EIDE CDROM, make sure that
it is one that is known to work with FreeBSD.
