Which EEPROM? How is it being accessed hardware-wise?

I've got a small program somewhere around plus circuit scheme on how
to read/write ``industry-standard'' serial EEPROMs (93C46, 93C56) via
the printer port. It requires either a voltage transverter from 3 Vdc
(TTL high level) to 5 Vdc or an external +5 V source, and some 74LS00
or similar acting as a line driver.
