1. computer type, processor, ram
2. disk controller, disks, etc
3. video card
4. basically a rundown of what cards are in the computer
5. freebsd system you're trying to install (e.g., 2.1.5, 2.2, etc)
6. what, if anything, appears on the screen before it freezes
