First off, I'll say that I do not have any real networks on my machine. (sniff)
With that out of the way:

In the past, when I've been testing different programs, etc, I have done a
"telnet 0" to connect to my machine and log in as a different user. I've done
this many times without problems.

Recently, something happened to my machine (no, I never could figure out what),
and I had to reinstall the binary distribution. I did this off of the same
disks that I originally used. Now, when I "telnet 0" I'll connect to my
machine, but I can't type anything at the "login:" prompt. Anyone experienced
anything like this?

James
