The latest 0.99 version (mgetty099-Jul23.tar.gz) worked fine for me
under FreeBSD.  All i had to do was a little hand-tweaking in policy.h
about the locations of the various log files, PID files etc.  Nothing
unintelligible.  I assume BSD/OS is basically the same in this
respect.

The home site for mgetty is ftp.leo.org.  They offer a search
function, so using the above file name, you should find it quickly.
