But, I read /usr/src/release/sysinstall/devices.c, there's no "vx"
entry in it.  If the GENERIC installation kernel recognizes vx, I
think it can't be used by sysinstall (I've not tested it, because I
don't have 3c590).

I added "vx" entry on my machine and recompiled it when I released our
BootAsia L10N Japanese/Chinese boot floppy.  I also re-enabled missing
"fe" driver on i386/conf/GENERIC of this floppy.  It is available at

Select "English" from language menu, if you're not Japanese or Chinese
speaker :-).
