Refer to the Handbook on both types of PPP connections, and also to the 
man page on pppd. Pay special attention to the info on the 
/etc/ppp/options file; that's the controlling file. I start mine with a 
command line in /etc/rc.local:

	pppd /dev/cuaa1 115200

Remember to set the GATEWAY option to "YES" in /etc/sysconfig!
