Our network guy (where I currently work) had the same problem with an
ISDN link through Pipex - starts of good, degredates to nothing.  I tried
at one point to tell them there was a problem, but they wouldn't believe
me either.  It turns out that when they replaced our router, the problems
went away...... sad !
