I had a problem on receiving mail by FreeBSD which mounts /var/mail from
a Sun workstation. mail.local complains: "Permission denied".

% ll /var/mail/jin

% cat >> /var/mail/jin

writing is OK. If the /var/mail is a local disk, everything is OK.
So, it looks like FreeBSD cannot use mounted partition for receiving mail.
Is this true?

Thanks for any information.
