They could run a commercial X server that supports the card. We all know
that such a server is available at quite a reasonable price.

It would of course be nice if Matrox gave out more information about the
card. But it's not as if you currently couldn't use the card under Linux
at all. If it bothers you that there's no support for the Matrox card in
XFree86, write an angry letter to Matrox and go get another card.
