That is correct, it's just a pity that this option is not actually the
one you chose when you installed your system. :-)  If you want to ignore
geometry in this way, what you have to do is use `A'(ll) in the
Partition editor and they say No when it asks you if you want to remain
cooperative with other OSes.  If it asks you for a boot manager, you've
chosen the wrong option. :-)
