Hi,
we have a customer who wants to connect to us with uucp to send and receive
his mail.
We do not want to dial him, just accept incoming connections and do the
transfers.
I have an entry in /etc/uucp/L.sys which reads
	cust-mach-name Polled
I have a user defined for customer with /usr/libexec/uucico shell and
/var/spool/uucppublic as home. They are in uucp group.
There is a bidir.9600 getty running on modem port.

When customer connects, connection just times out and drops.
Two error messages i get in /var/log/uucp/uucico/uucico are:

cobauucp uucico (08/06-10:39-10190) CAUGHT SIGNAL 1 FAILED
cobauucp uucico (08/06-10:39-10190) FAILED (conversation complete 0 sent 0
received 0 bps)

cobauucp uucico (08/06-10:58-10335) TIMEOUT FAILED (null)
cobauucp uucico (08/06-10:58-10335) startup failure

Both connections were identical, but gave different messages. ?

Running out of things to try, can anybody please help.

Regards, Craig Stratton.
