I've noted only a few posts on this subject, and none were particularly
clear on how to accomplish it, but here goes...

I've recently acquired FreeBSD, having used Linux to my great
satisfaction for about a year and a half. I had no (great) problems
getting Linux's pppd to cooperate with my ISP's dynamic IP allocation
scheme. A chat script served nicely.

It appears that FreeBSD isn't quite as cooperative w/r/t dynamic IP
addresses as is Linux, as I cannot establish a PPP link over a dialup
connection with my ISP. (and yes, I've considered that I might be
incompetent rather than merely ignorant... :)

Would anyone have any insight into this problem?

Thanks in advance.
