Does anyone have any experience with disabling FreeBSD's route cloning?

I'm trying to configure a system that will never have more than two
route entries; 1) Default Route; 2) Ethernet.

When FreeBSD learns about a host on the ethernet, it always adds a route
entry for that host. I don't want it to do that.

How can I turn off route cloning?

Thanks,

Patrick
