Hi,

A few days ago the ide controller on my IBM PS/1 (ISA bus) went up in
smoke. To make the computer work again I installed an eide/bios
controller card, and a new 1 GB HD. Worked like a charm booting DOS.

When I tried to install FreeBSD (2.1R) the computer locks up, just after
the boot disk has probed everything, and the screen goes blank. I think
this has to do with the fact that wdc0 isn't found and that the install
proggie isn't configured to use wdc1 instead.

Could anyone please help me to create a sysinstall that will work with
wdc1?

Regards,

Kristofer Pettersson
