I've had 386bsd slip running beforeon a different setup,
but there seems to be a problem now. i have connecting to
the same host as before, and other users say it still works.
if running the following after connecting, and running slip
on the other side:

/usr/bin/nohup /sbin/slattach /dev/com2 9600
/sbin/ifconfig sl0 localname otherhostname
/sbin/route add default router-on-the-other-side

i dont get an errors, and when i ping hosts, i see
the packet go out, and see something coming in. it
appears to be a true response, since when i ping a
non-existant ip address, i dont get anything back.
also , at the dialup pad, i did a "terminal download"
so i'm pretty sure its passing all 8-bits. any ideas?
