Say your /etc/hosts looks like

192.168.0.1	myhost myhost.my.domain

Then please add

192.168.0.1	myhost myhost.my.domain myhost.my.domain.
                                        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

(Note the trailing dot.)

I consider this a bug in the resolver library (as i've been discussing
it here), but the above should be a suitable workaround.
