An ethernet connection ... on the local LAN ? Or via dialup Modem ?

During installation you'll be asked network parameters ...
The sysconfig file is also well documented ...
Perhaps you need some basic skills in networking ... ?!
Try buying BSD Administration by Nemeth, Snyder ...

So you want to configure your FreeBSD machine as a gateway ?
Well that's no problem, but a hell to tell you everything via
News/Mail.

One question ... how do you connect to your internet service
provider ? Via Modem and PPP or SLIP or what ?
