This is normal - since the pgcc is a beta and (at least in my experience)
still a little flaky, it does not in fact replace the default compiler.
Instead, it lives in its own little niche and is called 
pentium-unknown-freebsd-gcc. Just use this like the normal gcc and you
should be fine. And remember the -mpentium switch ;-)

BTW, if you are compiling a lot of floating point stuff, expect mega
improvements.
