Steve-

I'm certainly not an expert, but my manufacturer, along with RAM
distributers, have said this was a big NO-NO! In addition, (it's my
understanding that) the EDO RAM includes extensive logic on-chip which
must be supported by your motherboard.

Parity RAM will get along ~ok~ with non-parity, but speeds and type
(D, SD, EDO) along with pin configuration must be matched. A quick tip
on parity/non-parity:
Non-parity will be listed as ex(4x32)
Parity will be listed as (4x36)

Anyone feel free to correct me!
