Dell and Micron both informed me that EDO RAM can be mixed with non-EDO RAM. They also claim that there is no decrease in the performance of the EDO RAM, although of course the total RAM speed will be between that of the non-EDO and EDO RAM. I had no idea about any sort of special motherboard requirements for EDO RAM, but then again, this is the first time I've considered the option of adding EDO to non-EDO instead of vice versa.
