And for that reason, I don't think it would be unreasonable for demon to
provide an extention to the batch ftp which would get files via http.  This
would *not* de designed for getting sets of Web pages, but for getting the
large files some people make available only via http.

Thinking about it though, being able to grab a web page, and have the program
scan the page for inline images and get those too would be nice; but you
could do this yourself with the limited service I outlined above.

Only a SMoP, after all ;-)
