        Boot in single user mode,remount root
        in RW:
        mount -u -w /

        type:
        pwd_mkdb -p /etc/master.passwd

        or:
        vipw

        and quit from editor rewriting the file,
        so that vipw will rebuild *.db you need.


        ^D to proceed into multiuser.
