I wouldn't hold your breath.  My experience (I'm definitely not a
programmer) has been that pine has *never* built for me "out of the
box" with FreeBSD 2.0/2.0.5/2.1, BSD/OS 1.0/2.0.1/2.1.  I dunno
what OS those folks out in Washington play on, but it doesn't
seem to be either of my favorite OS's.  :(

So I just usually wait until one of the Official (note the capital O)
code wonks does a port.  :-)
