I would like to write/modify a device. What I really would like to be
able to do is modify the lptx or generic io device to suit my needs. I
have some thing that I want to control throught the parallel port. I have
a Linux code module to base my works on. What I am looking for is some
FreeBSD code to work from.

I have downloaded all of source archives and have started looking through
them.

QUESTION #1. Are the sources for the sources for the devices include?

QUESTION #1.1 If so, where?

QUESTION #1.2 If not, where?

QUESTION #2 Any advice from anyone who has tried this?
