Well, thanks to help and determination, I got the 386bsd kernel
to boot, but now my problems are just starting. It gets as
far as telling me what kind of equipment I have and then dies
a very bad death:

Panic: cannot mount root
trap type 12 code= fe060000 eip= fe01276a cs= 8 eflags= 10282
 cr2 14 cpl la
Panic: trap

It then says it tries to write RAM to Device 1, but this fails
because it says something is wrong with the device.

All this headache, and all I want is X.
   H E L P !!!
   Thanks
   -Dan
