	Seconded.

	I know about at least 6 boxes with IDE CDROM drives running
	recent FreeBSD (2.1R or younger).  Only a single IDE CD drive
	didn't work and was replaced due to this fact (I recall it was
	an early Panasonic IDE CDROM).  All others (Hitachi, Pioneer, Teac,
	God knows what else) 2x, 4x, 6x drives were and still are Ok --
	just as Ok as any IDE device ever can be Ok ;)
