I *believe* that is what I said, more or less. The ftp text file can
be retreieved by batch ftp, but the second can not as it is served
by http.

Indeed. I would like to have for example:
http://polar.wwb.noaa.gov/regional.waves/ATLT12Z1.gif and other
images retreievd by batch http so that I could retreive them more
locally.
