Hi!
I have a soundcard: Something Soundblaster Pro 3.1 compatible
And now: I want to hear some sound ... How can I do it?

I installed playmidi, but whenever I try to use it, it says:

pruess@pruess:~> playmidi demo0002.mid
playmidi: No playback device set. Aborting.
pruess@pruess:~>

What the hell is a "playback device"?

Is it /dev/sb0 or something else?
And how can I tell playmidi to use this device? By EnvVar?
And how can I test my soundcart if it works well?

Thank you for your help ...
