I know this is probably a FAQ, but here goes anyway...

I've just finished installing the bin01 distribution, and its extracted
great etc, when I reboot the system, it all comes up fine, no problems.

I've also obtained the etc01 distribution, and after a bit of a play
around with cpio, I've recopied /tmp/extract from the boot-floppy, but
after chewing on etc01 distribution for about 25-30 minutes, extract tells
me (after it says 'doing final installation etc..') that it can't find
install.etc01, or something along those lines.

Any ideas would be great!

Ta!
