My understanding is different but is not definitive because I haven't
personally done it. COM3 and COM4 are real - they use different I/O ports.
The problem is that they share IRQs with the other serial ports. You have
to gen a kernel that specifies 'conflicts' in the device specification.
There are samples showing what to do in the LINT file.
