Well I seem to be misunderstanding something, or not grasping it.
But I attempted to setup Xwindows, in BDSI 2.1, and whenever it
starts, everything on the bottom "button" bar, is black except the
clock, and the newspaper ( news reader option).
We have a P120 box, with 64 meg of ram, Diamond Stealth 64 PCI 2 meg
Video card. I swear I ran xsetup at least 100 times, but cannot seem
to get the "right" combination to see anything further.

Am I "missing" something? Why is everything blacked out? And why can I
not find an option anywhere to change it to something visible? If I
mouse up to the upper left hand corner, and click, it is giving me an
obvious pulldown menu, BUT I cant see anything other than a black
rectangle.
And when I start Netscape in a window it says:
netscape: locale`ISO8859-1' not supported by Xlib; Trying `C' .
Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "#B2B2B2"
Warning : Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#0000EE"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "#551A8B"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "#FF0000"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "#FFFFCC"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "#C0C0C0"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "#0000BF"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "green"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "red"
Warning cannot alloacte colormap entry for "#D3B5B5"
Warning cannot allocate colormap entry for "#69B5B5"

Then, when that is done with, Netscape comes up and says " Visual 0x20
is a 4 bit Psuedo Color visual. this is not a supported visual; images
will be displayed in monochrome.
I may be dense, but it is apparant i am overlooking something.
Would anyone be so kind as to guide me down the proper path of
correcting this?

Any replies email to tysman@europa.com would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
