Maybe YOU cannot boot it up, but most others can,
where is the problem?  I would not be so quick
to judgment.  It is not clear if the comment was
made about FreeBSD or Linux, but both boot very
nicely, given stable, known good hardware, and
the right configuration (at least 5MB.)
