Hello,
I have a USR Sportster 28.8 modem that I've got hooked up
to my box running freebsd...and it works, --half the time!

Every other call made to it, it gives a login prompt and everything
works fine. The other times (exactly every other time) it connects,
waits a couple seconds and then disconnects without saying anything.

Then, when you type "exit" or "logout" to hangup, the modem doesn't
hangup, --EVER-- you have to hangup manually.

I have the modem book with all the AT commands, but when I try to access
the modem using TIP or KERMIT, nothing I type shows up, and I can't get
it to do ANYTHING. ....which means I can't change any of the registers
to fix this problem.

Any suggestions or solutions?

Emailed answers appreciated :)
Thanks,
Dan
