I am currently running BSDi 2.1 with INN 1.4unoff4, and ran into the
following of which I am unsure. The server used to run with the following
stats almost constantly:

PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND
  145 news 76 4 36M 22M run 327:47 18.21% 18.21% innd

I then decided to remove a bunch of groups (about 2500 groups) that
nobody ever reads to shrink things down a bit (things like tw.* that
aren't even readable), and to my suprise after removing all of the
groups I now get the following:

PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND
  145 news 76 4 60M 24M run 405:26 18.21% 18.21% innd

The size of the news (innd) process seems to have almost doubled in
size, which is the exact opposite of what I would have expected to
see happen. Does anyone know what caused this?? I even rebooted the
server to see if it made any difference, but sure enough I get the
exact same results, so I am a bit confused, though I have never claimed
to understand INN.. :-)
