I tried to use a compac pro??? (scsi only model)
but it does not work becouse:

scsi is not regognized, not the ethernet chip either.

The test is simple, just boot the installation diskettes
and watch for the devices found.

(there might be support with a recompiled kernel, but then
you can't use the installation diskettes anyway)

So the solution is - use PC compatible hardware.
