I have an Inter EtherExpress 16 and when it boots, I get the message:

ix0 at 0x270-0x27f irq 4 maddr 0xd0000 msize 32768 on isa
ix0: address 00:aa:00:36:ae:6b

and when the computer runs the netstart I get the following:

iscp->busy time out
Reset timeout scb->status = ffff
.TO=ffff
shutting down
Diagnose timeout scb->status = ffff
.TO=ffff
Configure timeout scb->status = ffff
.TO=ffff
shutting down
IAS timeout scb->status = ffff
.TO=ffff
shutting down

I cannot ping into or out of the machine (of course the loopback pings
ok). Any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix this? The nic
card works fine under NT and 95, so I don't think its the card. Any
possible configuration possibilies also?
