Can anyone help me with setting up the right configs to be able to dial out?

I eventually want to call a dial-up network and set up a slip or PPP
connection.

I've edited my /etc/remote file, but when I try tip <system> I get a message
about not being able to synchronize with hayes modem or something.

Please mail if you can help.

Thanks,

Hopefully a future FreeBSD user, John.
