Hello NetBSD world outside!

I ran in trouble while installing a NetBSD1.1 system on a PC
system and I can't figure out what has been gone wrong.

I obtained the source/binaries of the NetBSD1.1 distribution from
our server and installed them as it was predicted in the manual
of installation. The system still runs well - but the make command
seems to be destroyed. After calling a make it stops with "Error code 1"
I've no glue nor idea why. This behaviour seems to be to all Makefiles I tried
to "make". Then I thought it could be very tricky to obtain the
base make from older distributions - but there occured the same strange
thing so I think the problems relies to my hardware (running out of
space/buffer ????). Then I pulled over GNUmake and compiled this
by using the build.sh script. This make works well, but not on the
original Makefiles coming with NetBSD distribution. make ends up
its work alsways printing: Makefile:45 missing separator.
(While trying to compile a new kernel).

If anybody is out there having hints and tips or solutions or can tell
me where to obtain a bare working make for my NetBSD1.1 he
should share his knowledge with me, it would be appreciated very
well.

Thanks in advance,

O. Hartmann
