I am also having trouble with my XF86 config.
Same system:

P75
PCI
16meg Ram
PCI Trident SVGA
Sony 15sf
generic SVGA server

I have the XF86Config setup as close as I have found, but when I run the
startx, I get a scambled screen. I have modified most of the settings,
but no luck.. Has anyone else had a similar experience that can help zero
me in on the right setting?

Thanks alot!
