Hellmuth Michaelis has recently been releasing a alpha or beta package
of `bisdn'. This supposedly supports FreeBSD-2.1, FreeBSD-current,
and some NetBSD (don't ask me for the version # though).

The downside: there are currently only the European EDSS1 and the
German 1TR6 switch protocols supported. According to Hellmuth, it
requires someone with insight into ISDN switch protocols and actual
access to a line running this protocol in order to implement other
protocols as well.
