Well, that's wrong. The mach8 is to 90% the same as the mach32. There 
are quite a few features which you cannot use right now. Are do you
find any docs how to programm the mach8's dotclocks (yeah, there are
16 of them). I know what I'm talking about, since I do have the specs ...
