I can give you a solid example of why I don't want the
diamond stealth: without the ability to set the dot clock
an X server is pretty much useless. People should know
about this, specially when they spend $300 (US) for the
	 card.

No one in the public domain has an X server for the ATI machine.

So far 386BSD and X does not require the above instructions

I do think that the net is doing a favor to Diamond by attempting
to solve Diamond's stupid policy. I simply took my Stealth
back and got myself a couple of cards that I could program
without a lot of hazzles from the vendors.

So people why bother with buying Diamond?

Enjoy X on other svga cards like Orchid or Actix, today!

Roell, tnks for your code! A few of us are capable of
either getting the algorithm or writing the code. No,
I am not going to do it because I am not interested in
	helping Diamond.

And for the matter of hackers burning up their equipment
thats up to them after all they purchase it.

Lastly, I am not benefiting from my work in any financial way,
and I am not going follow this thread any more, I am going
to keep hacking on my S3 cards.
